I received this email from Ben and Jerry's after sending them an email, rather

than calling the tollfree number.Bob Hello, Bob:How nice that you considered us

for a new marketing idea. However, we cannot even LOOK at your idea unless you

read and agree to the terms set by our company lawyers. (Yea, we know...we know)

These terms can be found with our Suggestion form on our website. Please go back

and fill out this form. Otherwise, your idea will just sit here forever and

ever. What a shame that would be.

Although we have had requests for a vegan product, we do not have plans yet to

market one. We are not doing a survey on this either. The website that states

that we are is not being truthful about that. We cannot even take suggestions

unless the form mentioned above is filled out. The better bet would have been

for them to suggest that everyone fill out the form. Please feel free to fill it

out and let us know you would like this product. Sorry to have to disappoint

you.

Here is the link to our website. http://www.benjerry.com/indexg.tmpl Good luck!

Thank you for writing and thinking of us.

Viva! never said that B & J was taking a survey. The spokesperson at B & J told

Lauren Ornelas (with Viva!) that people making comments about vegan

ice-cream would not be required to fill out a form, so B & J is not following

what they said they were going to do. She is still discussing the issue with

them. If anything comes of it, I'll post it to the list.
