Hi all,

I recently started taking b12 supplements; a few hours after taking the

first one, I had an awful case of the shivers and couldn't keep anything

down. It was unlike anything I've experienced before. I doubt it was

related, but want to be sure. Have any of you have had any strange

reactions to supplements?

Rose,

I have experienced what I think is called, " niacin flush, " after

taking vitamin B supplements. It kept me awake and made me feel like

my skin was receiving excess circulation. Niacin is also known as B-

3. It felt sort of weird, but not too scary.

In your supplement, was there a balance of all the B-vitamins, or was

it just isolated B-12?

I have never taken the B-12 alone. All of the times I have used B-

supplements, there was a combination of them.

On one of my vitamin jars, I notice that there are even different

classifications of the vitamin B-3 contained in the tablets. One of

them is called, " NIACIN (As low-flush, fast release Vit. B-3), " and

the other is called, " NIACINAMIDE (As no-flush, fast release Vit.

B3). "

Sometimes I don't know how much info on the vitamin bottles I should

believe or trust. It seems that the consensus on vitamins seems to

change as time passes.

I hope that some of this info will be relevant to you...

Good wishes,

Jon Spear
