Guest guest
Millennium will be moving at the end of this month. As far as i know they will not be " expanding " their menu to include non-vegan options, but they are losing some of their long-time staff ********************* Thanks to you, our loyal guests, Millennium has enjoyed great success since our doors opened in 1995. Despite the size of our kitchen (10'x15') we have managed to bring you stunning plates night after night. Our small space has always been a source of frustration for us, but that's about to change. On the evening of Sunday, February 23, Millennium will close its doors at 246 McAllister St. and we invite you to join us this month to help us celebrate eight great years in the Abigail Hotel. Saturday, March 1, Millennium will reopen its doors in a new location at 580 Geary Street (just 7 blocks from our current home) where the kitchen is literally ten times as large. We now have a tremendous opportunity to expand our menu and act on all the ideas we've had over the years. In addition, the new restaurant will have a full-bar with 16 seats and an expanded organic wine list and twice as many choices by the glass. On top of that we will have a six seat dessert bar - perfect for after the theater. Feel like entertaining a group for a birthday or anniversary? We now have a few private dining rooms suitable for parties of 12 to 50 of your closest friends. Valet parking will also be available. Executive Chef, Eric Tucker, and Pastry Chef, Amy Pearce, will remain at the forefront of the kitchen and their excitement over the move is difficult to contain. Sadly, Sous Chef, Bruce Enloe, and his wife and our Assistant General Manager, Nicole LeBlanc, will be leaving us after a combined 10 years of hard work and brilliant creativity. We wish them the best of luck as they take off across the land in their converted biodiesel truck! Joining the kitchen team will be Vince Peterson who worked in the Millennium kitchen in 1999 and 2000 and will now return as Eric's Chef de Cuisine. In the front of the house will be Sunnylyn Thibodeaux, who comes to us with a lot of Bay Area restaurant experience and she's been a fan of Millennium since she moved to San Francisco. We're pleased to welcome them both on board. Change is the law of nature. We welcome this new experience with great excitement and hope you will too. You are cordially invited to reminisce with us this month and revel with us in the next. We look forward to seeing you soon.
