14th: Anti-Valentine's Day Party- 7 PM- Sarah K's home in Mountain

View

For those who find themselves single this Feb 14th, a chance to bond

with others without built-in plans for the Valentine's Day holiday.

It's also a chance to vent among friends. Feel free to bring

mementoes from past relationships or just any cheesy Valentine's

stuff that we can all have fun mutilating together (sweet

catharsis!).

Bringing food and/or drink is optional, just make sure it's

vegetarian, and that it's labeled if it isn't vegan. Please let me

know ahead of time if you have cat allergies - I will work with you

to accommodate.

Couples ARE welcome, if you don't have anything better to do, but

you better keep in the spirit of the evening! :) Let's just have

fun, no matter what.

Please RSVP to Sarah at sakishler@a... or call 650-968-4507 by

Tuesday, February 11 (A tip: I'm generally more easily reached by e-

mail than by phone).

15th: Monthly Potluck - 5:30 PM Where: Peartree Apartments, 330 N

Mathilda Ave, Sunnyvale, Rec Room Directions from Mark: South-East

corner of N Mathilda Ave and Indio Wy. The Recreation Room is off

Mathilda Ave. You can park on the streets or you can park in the

apartment parking lot spaces that are not numbered and not covered.

Ignore the No Parking signs as you are my guests.

Please bring a vegetarian dish, and/or drink, and please label any

non-vegan food (if you aren't sure how much to bring, one " rule of

thumb " is to bring at least as much as you would eat/drink

yourself! ). There is a microwave to warm up foods. Please bring our

own non-disposable cup/fork/spoon/plate. There is a kitchen sink

that you can use to clean up afterwards. Please bring a folding

chair if you have one (although there are 10 chairs in theRecRoom

and several garden tables with chairs outside).

Community room rules:

No alcohol allowed. There is a swimming pool (currently not heated)

and a whirlpool heated to about 105F and about 20 person capacity.

Please bring bathing suit (this is not optional :) ) and towel if

you wish to use them. There are large clean restrooms to change

clothing. We are allowed to use the pools and outside tables but

this is not a " pool party " . That means, we must behave quietly, no

jumping, running, disturbing residents in any way.

Very important: we have to try our best to not make the place dirty,

and in any case we will be expected to clean up after ourselves. I

will bring the cleaning accessories.

If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me at

mgalecki@p... or call me at (408) 245-4928.
