On Saturday, February 8, Freedom for Animals, the Bay Area's

all-volunteer animal protection group, kicked of a local effort of

PETA's " Kentucky Fried Cruelty " campaign (see www.freedom4animals.org

for photos). Activists gathered outside of the KFC located at the busy

corner of Geary & 6th St. in San Francisco from 2 - 4:00pm, holding

signs and distributing hundreds of leaflets. A table was also set up

outside the fast food chain, showing shocking and graphic footage of

the chickens used by KFC on factory farms. Along with literature

revealing KFC's horrendous animal cruelty, many Why Vegans and

vegetarian starter kits were distributed. Without a doubt, we have

educated many, and this is only the beginning!

This Saturday, the campaign continues with an exciting new element. We

will be gathering outside the same KFC location, at 4150 Geary Blvd in

SF from 12 - 2:00pm, and giving out free vegan " chicken " samples to the

hungry, lunchtime crowd. We will also be handing out important

literature revealing the shocking animal cruelty that KFC supports, as

well as free veggie starter kits.

This is such an important and effective way to help make a difference

for countless animals. Please join us in showing all the veggies-to-be

out there how easy it is to make more of their diet animal-free!

Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions.
