Our organization, the San Francisco Vegetarian Society is doing a Madhatters' Spring High Tea fundraising event at the Millenium Restaurant on April 26. We need a one-hour background music string quartet during the event in exchange for a free admission to the Tea Party. Please respond through email. ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION The San Francisco Vegetarian Society (SFVS) is a non-profit organization and one hundred percent volunteer organization that has been in the Bay Area for over 35 years promoting a vegetarian diet as a healthful, humane, ecological and a spiritual way of life. The Society hosts events throughout the year such as the annual World Vegetarian Day Festival, vegetarian potlucks, picnics, dining out and lectures. We had an estimated 2,000 in attendance at our 2002 World Vegetarian Day. The organization is also involved in community outreach activities by participating in neighborhood community festivals such as the Sunset Community Festival, City College Health Fair, Berkeley Watershed Festival, etc. The Society has over a thousand members in its database. It is also affiliated with the North American Vegetarian Union and the International Vegetarian Union. The Advisory Board members include John McDougall, MD, Neal Barnard, MD, Gerald Cohen, DC, Ronald Cridland, MD, Alan Goldhamer, DC, and John Westerdahl, MPH,RD.
