It's against the law to use BLOOD in refining wine

There is another ingredient used for fining wines and

beers that veggies should be aware of: isinglass,

which is derived from swimm bladders of fish. I know

this is used in the U.K. according to the British

Vegetarian Society,

lists a bunch of other animal derived fining agents.

gives more info and a list of vegan beers. However,

I'm not sure if the same brands of beer here in the

U.S. are equivalent to those back home.
