Guest guest
There is another ingredient used for fining wines and beers that veggies should be aware of: isinglass, which is derived from swimm bladders of fish. I know this is used in the U.K. according to the British Vegetarian Society, http://www.vegsoc.org/info/alcohol.html. In fact it lists a bunch of other animal derived fining agents. The British Vegan Society http://www.vegansociety.com/html/info/info28.html also gives more info and a list of vegan beers. However, I'm not sure if the same brands of beer here in the U.S. are equivalent to those back home.
