Guest guest
My wife and I try to grow as much of our own veggies as possible. I am starting to plan the garden for the year and am looking for a source of natural/organic pest controls and soil additives, preferably in the South Bay. I found many online stores but would like to support a local business if possible, and I was told it is best to buy nematodes fresh and keep refrigerated. Specifically I am looking for: beneficial nematodes for the lawn, natural/organic slug/snail control, organic sources of soil/compost additives (soil where I live lacks iron) Jason

Hi all, Jason & Vivian, nice to see some other gardeners out there :-) Have you checked out Common Ground in Palo Alto? http://www.commongroundinpaloalto.org/ Since I don't get to the South Bay much, I'm not a regular customer... but I was there once a couple of years ago and they did have a commerical vegan fertilizer in the store and lots of organic stuff. Cheers, Tammy
