FDA + Downed Animals

GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO WORK FOR ANIMALS -- without even leaving your home (or your

computer!)

 

Farm Sanctuary is still encouraging people to write to the U.S. FDA to urge them

to ban the slaughter of downed animals for human food. They've received

thousands and thousands of comment cards at this point and need to continue to

receive them from people.

 

I have many, many pre-written postcards that I would love to pass onto someone

who'd like to work on this specifically. I've exhausted my contacts regarding

this issue and would love to pass it onto someone with a fresh list of contacts.

 

One of the things that worked really well was an " email campaign. " In other

words, you don't even have to have the people actually sign the postcard but

rather just ask if you have their permission to put their name and address on

the card. That way, you can send all the postcards at once to the FDA along with

a letter that states how many people support the ban, etc.

 

If you're interested, please let me know. Many people can do this at the same

time. Not only does this campaign have potential real effects, but it's a great

public awareness opportunity, as most people don't know that it's legal to sell

sick animals for human consumption.
