Guest guest
Hi Everyone. I just saw on the Channel 5 News that Fremont is having to cut the budget to their animal shelter by 25%. (The city of Fremont is having cuts across the board.) Part of the cuts are going to involve having the shelter be closed on weekend days, which they said are the biggest adoption days because people have off from work. This doesn't make any sense. Why don't they close on 2 weekdays? This move is going to result in many more adoptable cats and dogs being killed, as they themselves say. Does anyone in our group know anyone at the Fremont animal shelter (or work there his/her self?) Why do they want to pick the two days that give cats/dogs the most chance for a life to close?
