action: Fremont shelter closing wkends

Hi All. I received the following from Marcia and am posting it here with her

permission. Please note that Marcia will be gone next week and most of the

following week.

What does everyone think about the idea of a phone tree to call to

protest the proposal to close the Fremont animal shelter on weekend days (the

days which see by far the most potential adopters).

I work for the Humane Society of the U.S. and I forwarded your email to my

regional director. I don't know if we can do anything, but I asked him about

it. I would think getting organized community opposition is important. Is

there a local AR phone tree?
