Bay Area Letter date change -- 3/22

Hi all,

 

We've had to slip the date for our Bay Area letter writing party to

Saturday, 3/22. Still the same locations and same great reasons to get

together and write letters for the animals!!

 

Participants should bring their own letter writing supplies (pen, paper,

envelopes, stamps) and you are welcome to bring alerts with you, too!! If

you have extra stationary supplies, that might be helpful to bring to share,

as well.

 

Bring vegan food to share is admired, but not required.

 

PACIFICA

For folks new to the group, we had a letter-writing activity booth at

VegFair, and the response was overwhelming! If you didn't get a chance to

write a letter with us then, the sample letters are still available at

(I *know* the hundreds of letters that SFBAVeg generated for ACR 16 had a

POSITIVE effect on the recent passage from the Assembly Education committee)

 

From PETA's website on letter writing, " Legislators estimate that 10 letters

from constituents represent the concerns of 10,000 citizens. Anybody who

will take the time to write is voicing the fears and desires of thousands

more. " says former Congressperson Billy Evan (D-Ga.)

 

Thanks to our Letter Writing Hosts, and to everyone who'll be joining us.
