Guest guest Posted March 8, 2003 Report Share Posted March 8, 2003 I understand that it is a local group, and that there must be certain rules so that the messages don't spiral out of control **BUT** as a passionate advocate of animal rights, I cannot in good faith say, " I don't want to hear about it if it doesn't involve the Bay Area. " If there is a big issue or breaking news happening that needs to be acted on, I would like to hear about it. Guest guest Posted August 5, 2003 Report Share Posted August 5, 2003 Re: salmonella, i have just had a message from my friend who is on holiday in Tenerife to say that she has been in hospital with a terrible case of gastroenteritis! Apparently it was so bad she was in intensive care and they told he boyfriend they thought she was going to die!!! Luckily she is starting to feel better but is very homesick and wants to be back in the UK more than anything. Poor thing! Good on you Heather, by the way! Goddess faerie, i'm a vegan too, so if you want to chat or ask any questions feel free to email me either on list or at laurakatemoore. I also have food allergies so i know what it means to be an awkward eater!!! Being a vegetarian seems normal and so easy to me now that i'm vegan! If anyone has any ideas for sauces that i can make not involving tomatoes i'd be really grateful! I have a recipe for red pepper sauce but thats it.
