San Francisco is in the lead... then Yosemite..

Hi all,

 

Judging from the poll results (asking where folks live), the majority of

members (based on the 117 votes) are SF. So, unless that *dramatically*

changes in the next few days, we'll have our half-year birthday party &

picnic at a park in SF!

 

We had it at Golden Gate Park last year. Ideas or suggestions for venues

are welcome, as is anyone who'd like to be more closely involved in the

planning.

And, interestingly, SFBAVeg has had events throughout the Bay Area, roughly

coinciding with where folks live! We've been to San Francisco, Oakland,

Pacifica, Mountain View, San Jose, San Mateo, Montara, Berkeley,

Pescadero....

 

In May we'll be going to Yosemite National Park! For all who wrote me, I

will be writing back to you in the next few days. If you're interested and

haven't written yet, please email me at event with

" Yosemite " in the subject line.

 

I'm not surprised that we have had a lot of interest, as anyone who has ever

tried to get camping reservations in Yosemite over the Memorial Day holiday

weekend knows, campsites go quickly -- in a matter of hours! So, this is

definitely going to be a great event with old & new veg friends in the

wonderful outdoors. To honor SFBAVeg's " Veggie Important People " (folks who

have organized events like Vegan Food Parties or significantly helped in

other ways), VIPs do get first priority for our Yosemite trip.
