Guest guest Posted March 18, 2003 Report Share Posted March 18, 2003 Raw Foods Demo and Dinner This project is sponsored by the San Francisco Vegetarian Society, a non-profit organization that has been in the Bay Area for over 35 years promoting a plant-based diet as a healthful and humane way of life. The Society hosts events throughout the year such as World Vegetarian Day Festival, vegetarian potlucks, picnics, raw foods and cooking demos, dining out and lectures. The Society is run entirely by volunteers. Where: Community Center 630 Valencia St (x 17th St) When: March 30 (Sunday) at 3:00 – 5:00 pm Dinner will be served after 5 P.M. To cover the cost of ingredients and materials: there is a charge of $5 for SFVS and SFLiving Foods members, and $10 for non-members. Vegan Menu Creamy Carrot-Asparagus Soup (very tasty warm soup) Corn & Cabbage Salad (....a colorful and inviting salad) Haiku Burritos (a burrito fusion, try it !) Banana Sorbet with chocolate swirl (….absolutely divine….) ---------------------------- You can prepare the above menu as your regular meal or for parties and potluck.
