Meeting Sunday 3/30 to discuss upcoming AR activism

Hey everyone,

Freedom for Animals will be having a meeting on

Sunday (3/30) to discuss upcoming activism for

April and to discuss a bunch of projects and

ideas we are working on and mulling over. The

meeting will be at my house, at 1042 Haight St.,

Apt. 3 in SF. Cross streets are Baker and

Broderick. It will start at 6:00pm. Any vegan

goodies you'd like to bring are surely welcome!

Some events we have planned for April are the

March of Crimes' Walk America protest, pre-

Easter Honeybaked Hams protest(s), a Ben &

Jerry's ice cream feed-in, vegan video brigades

and KFC protests, and of course neiman marcus

protests every sunday, no matter what, from 2-4.

We'll also be tabling at the We the Planet

Festival on Easter (and will have a free ticket

for it for anyone who shows up to any of our

events before then) and at the SF Universalist

Church event. We'd love to hear your suggestions

about additional events we could plan.

 

Projects we're working on/mulling over that we'd

like people's feedback and efforts on include an

animal rights book club, veg resourece guide to

the Bay Area, skill-sharing workshops, and more

I'm sure I'm overlooking.

 

As you can see, we're quite an active and

motivated group. We'd really like to see some

new faces at these events!!! We're such a new

group and could really use the support of other

dedicated veggies and AR people, so I hope

you'll join us in getting involved!

 

Carla will be emailing the specific agenda for

the meeting in the next few days, so I promise

this meeting will be more organized than our

first one! We'll be planning the calendar,

discussing the projects above, delegating longer-

term responsibilities, and brainstorming about

how to get more people involved in ways that

they feel comfortable with--especially given the

political climate right now--and just being a

more powerful and effective voice for the

animals.

Hope everyone's hanging in during this difficult

time, and not forgetting the animals who are

still languishing in cages and being exploited

and killed to satisfy human whims, and need

compassionate people like us to speak out for

them now more than ever.
