Guest guest
Some of you may already be on Farm Sanctuary's action alert, but I think this would be an incredibly powerful thing to attend. Imagine the message we would be sending if we showed up in droves? I'm going to take off April 8th and definitely go to Sacramento. I encourage as many of us who can to do the same. These state by state bans of cruel factory farming methods are harbingers of the end of factory farming. If you can show your support, please consider coming to Sacramento on April 8th! For the animals, Colleen Groundbreaking legislation (AB 732) has been introduced in California to outlaw veal crates and gestation crates, and it is slated for a hearing in the Assembly Public Safety committee on Tuesday, April 8th. Detailed information about these inhumane systems is available at www.freefarmanimals.org. These factory farming devices are so cruel that they have been banned across Europe, and it's time for them to be outlawed in the U.S. as well. It is critical for Assembly members to hear from California citizens who care about animals, as agribusiness is lobbying against the measure. Please contact your state Assembly representative and encourage him/her to support AB 732. You can find out the name of your Assemblymember by clicking here. Also, please contact Assemblymember Loni Hancock and let her know that you support AB 732. If you have questions or need additional information, please call 607-583-2225 ext. 229 or e-mail activist. --------------------- " Don't do nothing because you can't do everything. Do Something.
