If anyone has a recipe for marinated, baked tofu, especially if it has a low

sodium, low fat marinade, please send it my way. I just found out that

pre-made store-bought baked tofu has huge amounts of sodium, as do most soy

veggie burgers. Thanks for your consideration.

I don't know what constitutes " low sodium " , but here's a recipe for a baked

tofu that is most excellent. Perhaps you could try it with a low sodium soy

sauce, or experiment with diluting the soy sauce with water to decrease the

sodium content...

This is a lot cheaper to make than buying the marinated stuff at the store,

and very simple to make!

Korean BBQ Tofu

Recipe from Tofu Cookery by Louise Hagler

Cut into 1/4 " slices: 1 1/2 lbs firm, Organic tofu

Marinate overnight in a mixture of:

1/2 cup soy sauce

6 tbsp cane sugar

2 tsp dry mustard

1/2 tsp garlic powder OR 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced fine

2 tsp onion powder

Oil a baking sheet

Place tofu in single layer on sheet

Bake at 400 for 30 to 45 minutes until desired texture is achieved (will

become browner and firmer with longer cooking time) Be careful not to

overbake as it will become " tofu pleather " :-)

you can use amino acids instead of soy sauce- it has

at least half the amount of salt and tastes great!
