Hi all,

If you're attending the We the Planet music concert in Golden Gate Park on

Sun 4/20, please come by and visit the Bay Area Vegetarians table! I'm

told our table will be next to the food area, near a very large GMO

chicken. The food at the event is all organic, all vegan (with the

exception of 1 item that has cheese). So come have pre-lunch, lunch, after-

lunch or pre-dinner with us :-)

We'll be having in interactive display on " Why Vegan " , " Why Not Vegan " and

would definitely encourage everyone to come and write down reasons for " Why

Vegan " !

Additionally, in talking with the WTP event organizers, they are

encouraging folks to buy tickets in advance, to eliminate waiting in long

lines the day of the events.

More details on WTP are below (including list of entertainers and URL for

more info/buying tickets)

Hope to see many of you on the 20th!

Cheers,

Tammy

Bay Area Vegetarians supports Julia Butterfly Hill¹s We The Planet! WTP is

a tour of Music, Spoken Word, Consciousness & Activism. WTP kicks off with

a one-off concert event in Golden Gate Park's Speedway Meadow on Sunday

April 20th, 11am -- 5pm. Performances from Alanis Morissette (acoustic),

Cake, Bonnie Raitt (acoustic), Concrete Blonde, The Coup and De La Soul.

Speakers include Woody Harrelson, Van Jones of the Ella Baker Center, Aya

DeLeon, Randy Hayes from Rainforest Action Network, Global Exchange's Medea

Benjamin, and some of this years' very talented Youth Speaks Poetry Slam

Winners.

WTP aims to be the model of concert/festival/tour sustainability. We all

know we live in a world full of problems, WTP will show we also live in a

world full of solutions. Support Julia¹s non profit Circle of Life while

going to this great show! Tickets are $15 in advance, and $20 at the door.

Buy your tickets now at http://www.inhousetickets.com/wtp. A small number

of tickets for VIP admission and the after-show backstage benefit reception

with the artists are also available by calling our VIP hotline at

415-482-6673. Any/all proceeds will benefit the Circle Of Life ~

Reduce waste, practice sustainability: Please bring your own food container,

utensils, cup & cloth napkin/bag & win great prizes on site! Ride your bike

for free valet parking from the SF Bike Coalition, or take MUNI with your

friends.

Don't live in SF? WTP kicks off as a full nationwide tour in the Fall -
