Guest guest
Hi all, I'd like to give a warm welcome to our newest members! Everyone, this is a heads-up on our next Vegan Food Party! It will be our first outdoor event of the year -- we will be returning to Golden Gate Park to celebrate our 2nd annual half-year birthday celebration! Yes, Bay Area Vegetarians is 1.5 years old! Can you believe it??! Details: May 3rd, Saturday, starting at 2 pm at Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA We are meeting on the grassy lawn area/picnic areas (adjacent to soccer/polo area), restrooms nearby. See map for location and look for our BAV sign! http://www.generationv.org/images/ggmap.jpg I hope many of you will be able to join us in this fun celebration. Here's what you'll need: -- your appetite (smile) -- vegan food dish to share. each person should bring a dish that provides 6 generous servings. if there are two of you, one dish providing 12 servings works great, too! please take some pride & care in your contribution! bringing a bag of chips OR single-serving of a prepared/prepackaged food item is not acceptable. for the few who don't know, there IS a difference between six servings of food versus six small pieces of food. -- autographed recipe of your food item (folks may have certain food preferences or food allergies to wheat, nuts, etc) -- your own eating plate/utensils/napkins, and any serving ware needed -- games, frisbee, announcements, etc. -- optional -- any two or four legged family/friends companions who are well-behaved -- blanket or chairs to sit on -- family/friends/companions who always ask " What do you eat? " Note: If you need help or some suggetions for food, please ask the list or contact me privately or check out recipes from past Vegan Food Parties http://www.generationv.org/recipes.htm For these parties, I highly encourage/recommend/welcome you to " experiment " and " test " your new vegan recipes on us :-) Especially if they are desserts! RSVPs are not necessary but it'd be nice to know so we can figure out how much space we'll need. We look forward to meeting up with old & new friends, and hearing your thoughts/ideas for future activities, too. Cheers, Tammy & Chris Join the vegan r/evolution! http://www.generationV.org/ * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * FREE vegan info kit: http://www.veganoutreach.org/starterpack/free-vsp.html
