I'm planning a farewell dinner for $15 or less per person

 

Dinner will be on a Sunday Night before beginning of May, more info later..

 

The menu will be something like

 

Homemade soy milk, with or without sugar

 

" shrimp " rice rolls

 

tofu rice rolls

 

lemon grass " chicken " , it's a great entree cause my meating eating friend

Bernice is crazy about it

 

fried lemon grass tofu

 

fried chili tofu

 

veggie " chicken " , different type of " chicken " meat

 

House Special Chow Mein with " beef " , " shrimp " and " chicken "

 

House Special Mixed Vegetable

 

(they make their own tofu and soymilk on site)

 

after dinner, walk 2 blocks for a VEGAN gelato tasting party then walk around UC

Berkeley campus/neighborhood. This is one of the few chances where you can say

goodbye to a restaurant and eat their food before they close.

I ordered a VEGAN Thali (Chef's daily special platter) at UDUPI in Berkeley.

Because I ordered the vegan version, I only received 6 out of their 8 entrees.

Unfortunately I did not ask for them to subsitute 2 of their entrees to vegan.

(they took out my yogurt and creamed corn dessert) I only asked to sub the

GHEE (butter) rice to lemon rice. I didn't feel too ripped off cause I was very

full and they were willing to change one of my fried breads to a grilled

version.

 

A very popular dish is their Rassm soup, which is a VERY VERY SPICY tomatoe

soup. It's above average in spicyness, just to warn you.

 

Udupi in Berkeley is located at University and Martin Lutheran King. If you
