Guest guest
Sunday, April 13, 2003, 6:00 p.m. APRIL POTLUCK and SLIDE/LECTURE “Travel Tips from a Vegan Backpacker” by Erhhung Yuan Socializing begins at 6:00 p.m.; dining at 6:30 p.m.; and slide/lecture at 7:30 p.m. (There will be an orientation for new members or new vegetarians at 5:30 p.m.) Location: Institute of Aging, 3600 Geary Boulevard, San Francisco Cost: $1 suggested donation for members and students with food; $3 donation non-members with food; an additional $7 donation for everyone without food. After the potluck, Erhhung will give a presentation and slide show of some of the trips he has organized. Learn about the basics of backpacking, such as gear (what gear is vegan and where to find such gear), food (light on weight but not on taste), and the best places to go. Anyone who travels as a vegan will benefit from Erhhung’s tips and insights. Erhhung is a vegetarian of 15 years (7 as a vegan), a software engineer, photographer, and SFVS Board Member. http://www.sfvs.org/events.html#apr13 Janet, Dorleen, Lucy, Jacob and I will be there. Most of us will be bringing delicious organic food. See you there! Erhhung's girlfriend can't make it to the event cause she's planned a Yosemite trip this weekend. (p.s. they just got engaged, congrats!) Yes, she became a veggie thanks to Erhhung. Erhhung is our youngest and most outdoorsist Board Member. By the way, including Erhhung, more than l/2 of the SFVS Board Members became vegetarians due to Animal Rights/Love reasons. signature: FAQ on vegetarian resources SFBAVeg/ http://www.vegdining.com http://www.sfvs.org Living Foods: SFLivingFoods/ due to my high amount of emails, I am unable to answer everyone's emails on vegetarian questions.
