Guest guest
I just happen to come across a vegetarian persons web page, and it was so well done, I thought I'd share it: http://www.walker-online.com/ Actually, I was doing a search on the keywords " SARS hype " and found what his weblog said on April 3rd: " SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) is not a killer virus. Only in 3-4% of the cases the outcome is unfortunately lethal. The world wide death toll currently is 78. That is relatively low when you compare this to other illnesses: CDC scientists estimate that an average of 36,000 people die from influenza-related complications in the US, while heart disease, the No. 1 killer in the United States, causes 710,000 deaths a year. Cancer causes 155,000 deaths; AIDS, 15,000. (numbers according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ). For more information about SARS you can visit the website of the WHO.
