Letters Needed Now!

Groundbreaking Farm Animal

Legislation Passes California Committee

Letters Urgently Needed!!

Please help NOW so we can pass this issue through the legislature

rather than having to gather the 600,000 signatures needed

(starting in November) to place this issue on the ballot!!

Legislation (AB 732) to ban veal crates and gestation crates in California

passed the California Assembly Public Safety Committee on Tuesday, April 8th, by

a four to two margin. This groundbreaking legislation is now scheduled for a

vote on Monday, April 21st in the agriculture committee where it faces stiff

industry opposition.

It is critical for California citizens to contact key legislators immediately

for this bill is to succeed.

First, please contact the Speaker of the Assembly, Herb Wesson, and urge him to

do everything in his power to advance and pass AB 732 in the Assembly:

Honorable Herb Wesson

California State Assembly

P.O. Box 942849

Sacramento, CA 94249-001

Second, please contact the chair of the Assembly agriculture committee, Barbara

Matthews, and urge her to support and pass AB 732 out of her committee:

Honorable Barbara Matthews

California State Assembly

P.O. Box 942849

Sacramento, CA 94249-001

Finally, please contact your own Assembly member and urge him/her to support AB

732. Call (916)322-9900 to find the names of your State Assembly Member and

State Senator and their contact information.

For more information, please contact Sarah White with Farm Sanctuary at:
