Guest guest
Roberta, Try spraying a mixture of any " flavor " of Dr. Bronners liquid soap mixed with water. It's biodegradable, so you won't be adding poison to the ground water. The ratio is up to you. I used 50:50 on my poison ivy. It took reading half the letter before I realized this isn't a joke. Let's hope any poisons you might end up using are reserved for the bugs, not your mom and dad's sisters ;^) --- robertacentralfl <robertacentralfl wrote: > My exterminator (who used less toxic chemicals) just sent > certified mail that he dropped me. Guest guest
every year, the ants invade...tis their duty, and every year, we come up with ways to discourage the lil buggers... since begging and pleading seems to not work at all, here are some of the things that seem to put them off, at least fer a little while... Dr Bronners peppermint soap. make a solution of the soap and water, and wipe down the counters, and across any trails you see, etc...this seems to work 90% of the time. penny royal and tansy a weak tea made of these plants and sprayed on anty areas seems to drive the lil guys off...you are also suppose to plant tansy around the border of the house, but since the main place they seem to come in is the driveway, makes it rather difficult here, so, haven't tried it diatomaceous earth DE will dry up ants, and other bugs, and they won't cross it...place it around openings where ants get in that you can't seal. borax works also..i've made a line of borax, and the ants sorta back up and look around, and then leave... of course, keeping food cleaned up, including pet food and the like, will also help there is no way to keep ants out entirely, unless you want to hermetically seal yer house, but they'd probably still get in... best thing to do is limit and discourage them..imo cheers fraggle
