(In fact, it seems to kill them if you get it too close to them, so be advised.) I made a dilute solution and sprayed the heck out of the areas where I saw ants. I also applied it full-strength to the places where they were entering my apartment. This seemed to work better than any of the other things I tried (herbs, etc.). And I'd definitely stay away from that insecticidal chalk!
