Guest guest
Hi all, Hope to see many of you on Sunday at our booth at We the Planet festival. This is a *great* event to take your veg & non-veg friends too -- top notch entertainment with Alanis Morissette, Bonnie Raitt, CAKE, and others -- with wonderful speakers including Julia Butterfly Hill, Woody Harrelson, Flea & Medea Benjamin. All the food at the event will be veg! Plus, Bay Area Vegetarians will be there along with dozens of other non-profit organizations :-) We The Planet's message is simple -- to redefine cool. As Julia Butterfly puts it " Why is everything good for us considered the alternative? We all know that we live in a world full of problems, We The Planet aims to show that we also live in a world full of solutions. With all that is going on in our world today, more than ever, people are realizing that consciousness is cool " . At WTP, we're launching a new campaign -- come check it out in person on Sunday! Will post details to the list next week. Cheers, Tammy Tammy [govegan] Friday, April 11, 2003 8:28 AM [sFBAVeg] Who's going to We the Planet? Hi all, If you're attending the We the Planet music concert in Golden Gate Park on Sun 4/20, please come by and visit the Bay Area Vegetarians table! I'm told our table will be next to the food area, near a very large GMO chicken. The food at the event is all organic, all vegan (with the exception of 1 item that has cheese). So come have pre-lunch, lunch, after- lunch or pre-dinner with us :-) We'll be having in interactive display on " Why Vegan " , " Why Not Vegan " and would definitely encourage everyone to come and write down reasons for " Why Vegan " ! Additionally, in talking with the WTP event organizers, they are encouraging folks to buy tickets in advance, to eliminate waiting in long lines the day of the events. More details on WTP are below (including list of entertainers and URL for more info/buying tickets) Hope to see many of you on the 20th!
