Need help finding an apartment in the city, have bad credit

Hi, My husband and I are supposed to be moving to SF at the end of May

(He got a job there and I'll be going to school) but the apartment we

were looking at fell through due to bad credit and I'm at a loss as to

what to do. We looked into having a lease holder but unfortunately

nobody we know has a high enough income except my father who won't do it.

We need at least a 2 bedroom and can only afford up to 1800 a month

for now. I've found a couple more to look into but I expect that

credit will be a problem. Has anyone else here ever been able to rent

or lease an apartment with poor credit? How did you do it? Thanks in

advance.

we definitely like it when more veggie families in SF. If we can't convert the

local population, we'll import 'em! (Christel and her family are presently in

Alaska) I think this is one of those topics where the right suggestion would be

immensely helpful to Christel but not really of interest to the majority of the
