Interested in finding a room for rent with high-speed internet

Greetings,

 

I am 28 and have just moved to the bay area from south of Boston. I

decided to move out here with no firm job offers (though I have had

a number of interviews already) because I could not interview while

living on the east coast. I have accumulated $5000+ in savings to

get me through the next 3-4 months.

 

I can forward my resume if you want to look at it. I am convinced I

will have little trouble finding a job, even in a competitive

market, based on the positive response I have received so far to

positions I have sent out. I work in the IT industry doing PC and

Network Support.

 

My interests include dark-western folk/Shoegazer/psych/atmospheric-

pop/trip-hop/world fusion/dub, etc. music (I am a DJ on community

radio, also do an occasional club gig and am respectable with my

noise level), the vegan lifestyle, and holistic health,

independent/foreign films, and semi-alternative politics. I do not

use alcohol/tobacco (highly prefer that my roommate(s) specifically

do not smoke tobacco) and my watch rarely reads 4:20, but I am ok

with responsible celebrators.

 

Ideally I would like a place with High speed internet access, an

onsite washer/dryer, and my own private bathroom (or share the

bathroom with only one other female); I rarely watch TV with the

exception of The Simpsons; I would much rather pick my own films to

watch on DVD or VHS than have cable. My ideal environment would be

to live with eclectic music and independent/anime/foreign film

veggie friendly professional people who are not afraid of technology

who are clean and responsible.
