Comedians: Edwin Okong'o, " The African Prince of Comedy " Born in Kenya " sometime in the 1970's " , Edwin is one of the few funny original African comedians in the US today. While growing up in Africa, he enjoyed making people laugh, although his parents were not pleased. Like all African parents, they wanted their son to grow up to be a lawyer, doctor, banker or get a big government job where he could steal money and make them rich. Edwin has shared the stage with many nationally known comedians such as DC Curry, Michael Blackson, and Craig Gass. This up and coming comedian continues to amaze people everywhere. Norm Goldblatt (Quite possibly the only comedian with a PhD in physics!) Norm has performed throughout the Bay Area for many years. A contributor to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Norm's quips were quoted by the late San Francisco Chronicle columnist, Herb Caen. His material touches on everything from current events, politics, and Silicon Valley life to the world of science. Among other venues, Norm can be seen every Monday night at the Rose and Crown Tavern in Palo Alto as well as Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Club in Sunnyvale, the last Tuesday of every month. Ross Turner, Auctioneer (and more) Ross has been committed to excellence and perseverance in the performing arts ever since dropping out of the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Since then he's appeared at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood and The Improv in both Tempe, Ariz. and San Jose. He was most recently a finalist in the Rooster T. Feather's Comedy Competition in Sunnyvale. Ross' comedy is clean (no poo-poo words) and accessible to all audiences, except those with attention deficit disorders, and/or difficulty comprehending English. Brian Malow, Headliner (cuz he's the funniest, so he goes last) A 10-year veteran of the comedy club circuit, Brian has performed in nearly 40 states (and has shown no interest in the others). He has been featured in such diverse places as the Austin Chronicle, Cat Fancy magazine, and the Arts & Entertainment Network. A life-long fan of science and science fiction, Brian has developed a brand of intelligent, imaginative comedy that takes delight in playful use of language, and is shot-through with a healthy dose of science references. In his copious spare time, Brian produces and hosts a live Internet talk show while continuing to perform at Bay Area comedy clubs and for corporate clients nationwide. Please pass this message on to all your Bay Area friends. Thank you for your support!
