Guest guest
the 37 cents stamp just came out yesterday. The official celebration of the stamp was held today at Alzhand (sorry, bad spelling) Dance Hall, in Berkeley which was named after another vegetarian Next year at the Cesear Chavez celebration, I think we will have a vegetarian booth there, that voices " non violence " " compassion thru eating with a fork " note: One of the SF Veg Society board member is vegetarian due to non-violence. --The movie, " My big fat Greek Wedding " was not bad, the main character, the groom is supposed to be a vegetarian. I heard the producer/write wrote this story based on her true life/wedding. I wonder did she really marry a vegetarian if not, why did the script have a vegetarian as a main character. signature: FAQ on vegetarian resources SFBAVeg/ http://www.vegdining.com http://www.sfvs.org Living Foods: SFLivingFoods/ due to my high amount of emails, I am unable to answer everyone's emails on vegetarian questions. I heard that Greek people who lived through blockades and starvation in WWII can't fathom the idea of people choosing *not* to eat certain food, for any reason. So maybe it was thrown into the script to show the apathy her family had at this idea, when confronted with the notion, they thought the solution was to give him some other meat instead. tony
