I was at the " We the People " event on SF on Sunday - my partner and

I have been trying to go full vegatarian for a while now and are

having a really hard time with what to eat. i heard someone say

that a mentor or buddy could be paired up with people to help them

get past the final steps.

Tonight's dinner was awful - I baked potatoes, onions, and marinated

tofu...and it all just did not taste right. We ate it because we did

not want to waste food, but it's hard to not want to eat something

different when the food is not tasty.

Is there anywhere/anyone in the South Bay that we can get help with

what to eat? I think we just need some help with a few quick basic

dishes so that we can have something good to eat.

Yes, that was us! As part of our " 12 steps to go veg " and " 12 reasons to go

veg " , we thought pairing up folks needing support with experienced veggie

folks could make a big difference.

I have some names of volunteer mentors and names of people who requested

mentors. If you are in either category, and have not yet expressed interest

in this program, please contact me privately.

I remember too well how awful my early home-cooked veg meals were!! I would

strongly encourage folks who are interested in tasting some yummy vegan food

to join us for our next Vegan Food Party on 5/3 -- it really is the best way

to find great recipes for food that you can also make at home. See

http://www.bayareaveg.org/events.htm for upcoming events.

Cheers,

Tammy
