Guest guest
HI VEGGIE FOLKS! Would love to see you at an EarthSave Bay Area Event. Here's what's happening in Marin. Sunday, April 27th, LIVE-FOOD NUTRITIONIST, MICHAEL HARLEMAN Please welcome Michael Harleman. He will speak to us about the power of living foods. Michael is a local live blood-cell analysis practitioner and health educator. He has a master's degree in nutrition and has studied with Gabriel Cousens, David Wolfe, Rodney Yee, and others. He will cover the power of living foods for both spiritual growth and achieving optimal health. Many of the vegetarian health gurus of the 20th century, such as Norman Walker, Paul Bragg, and Bernard Jensen, advocated a diet high in living foods. Michael will talk about how to successfully incorporate living foods into your diet, which foods have very high nutritional value, and he will give an overview of some of the major benefits of eating a diet of predominantly living foods. He will also discuss some of the most up to date research pertaining to living foods and enzymes, antioxidants, and the elimination of yeast/candida from the body. Special guests, BRIAN SHARKEY AND JILL HARRINGTON, will demonstrate and discuss some delicious rawfood recipes. Arrive at 5:30: with your extra special vegetarian/preferably vegan dish to serve 10, your own utensils, a plate and a cup. Dining begins at 6:15, the presentation at 7:15. The Cost is $2.00 for members/$5.00 for non-members. To join EarthSave, it’s $35 for standard membership/$20 seniors, students and living lightly/$50 for household. Sunday June 1st - VEGETARIAN POT-LUCK & PICNIC FOOD COMPETITION Mark your calendar today! Join us Sunday, June 1st from 5 to 8 PM for EarthSave's pot-luck picnic competition. After our " picnic pot-luck " we will play picnic games (non-competitive and some mild competition) that guarantee laughter. Patti & Stan are the games committee, so you know this will be a fun and funny evening. Invite your friends to this one: no lectures, no preaching, no speakers! As always, bring food to share with 10 others, a plate, cup, serving and eating utensils and $2 if you're a member or $5 if you're not. If you have any connections or particular skills, or just general interest in getting involved, we could use your input. Jill Harrington, adventure coordinator, has some fabulous ideas for outdoor activities. Some examples include: kayaking and dining out together, visiting an organic farm and picnicking, a guided hike with Patti Breitman and a barbecue, etc. All we need is YOU to make it happen. Please keep your eyes open for some specific dates and make sure you mark them in your calendar early on so as not to miss the opportunity to have fun with your EarthSave friends. EARTHSAVE VIDEO AND GAME NIGHT: Sat. May. 8, 7-10 pm. Video and game night, not video games! Unlike video games, that typically put your mind to sleep and lead to complacency, we’ll be watching meaningful videos with messages that wake you up and empower you to make conscious decisions. Then we will play mindless board games to keep it fun. We have the whole tape series from the VegSource Conference. It's excellent and just waiting for your viewing pleasure. Join us on the second Saturday of each month. Call 415.258.9802 to RSVP. If you would like to receive the full bi-monthly e-mail newsletter directly, please write to syndee1on1 to let us know that you'd like to be on our e-mail list. Please visit one or both websites for other fabulous information: www.earthsave.org or bayarea.earthsave.org Please note, our phone number is now 415.258.8228.
