Hi all,

It's so great that we have such a vibrant veg community with so many local

events happening! We would like to remind you:

1) While we have about 850 members on SFBAVeg and another 50 on

SFBAVeg-Events, the membership count is pretty steady week to week.

Recently we've noticed that event-holders are posting the same events every

week. Event holders, at most you are reaching a few new members who didn't

see it when you posted it 5-6 days ago..

There are many great events happening, and we encourage people to share

information about them, but please avoid the temptation to constantly resend

information about the same event over and over and over within a short

period of time (less than a week). You may think that you're only doing it

for your one event, but this encourages others to do it for their one event

as well, which creates a big problem for the rest of us.

Please NOTE: We are now asking that all other groups and individuals post

information about their event, or event reminders, only once per month.

2) If you're posting you're event to the SFBAVeg mailing list, you think

the list is valuable in promoting your event. Thanks, we appreciate that!!

It would be great if you would reciprocate and help our local community grow

by promoting the SFBAVeg list at your event. This benefits all of us..

And, one last note -- if you have friends who'd like to stay informed about

events but cannot handle the volume of SFBAVeg, we do have an events-only

mailing list. This list is also hosted on , and makes it very

easy to see all the events posted in one place. The URL is

-events

You can by sending an email to:

-events-

Thanks for your support of SFBAVeg and the local veg community!

Cheers,

Tammy & Chris
