Based on ingrediants listed on the menu, the veg combo looks vegan or it can be made vegan. The owner of the restaurant is a very nice person. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if the food is good. On a Thursday night at 6pm, the restaurant had 7 customers, whereas Herbivore which is on the same block had 18 customers. Please post how's the food. Club Waziema (looks like a bar from the outside)543 Divisadero/Fell(same block as Herbivore)SF food served 5pm till 10pm " Hi all, It sounds like " Ethopian Food Club Waziema " has one item on the menu which could be vegetarian or possibly vegan? Why would a veg person want to limit their selection to one item when Herbivores is on the same block and has a completely vegan menu??!! I think Herbivores is justified in having good business as it really does have a good selection of foods. As a veggie, given a choice of spending my money at a veg-friendly versus a totally veg restaurant, I'd rather patronize the vegan one. I consider it a form of socially responsible investing :-) I highly recommend the brunch at Herbivores (available at Divisadero restaurant only). The portions are generous, and delicious. On their regular menu, I highly recommend the spring rolls as an appetizer. If accompanied with soup, that also makes an excellent dinner choice, too. AND, they have vegan desserts. The original restaurant on Valencia is also very easy to get to via BART. Also, while I was less than satisfied with the service at Herbivores in past years, I think they have improved, and we're there pretty regularly. I do not have any financial interest in Herbivores, nor am I friends with the owner or anyone related to the business. Just count me as a satisfied customer.
