Guest guest
I'd just like ot add my $0.02 to the discussion of ex-veg*ns. Yesterday, after I'd been reading about this topic and thinking about it, one of my co-workers announced she'd decided to start eating chicken again (she was a pescatarian) because her new boyfriend convinced her it was no different from eating eggs!! Needless to say, I did my best to persuade her not to eat chicken (and possibly forgo eggs), but to no avail. She is the latest in the series of ex-veg*ns (including some ex-vegan l-o vegetarians) I've encountered of late (several on dates, ug), so i'm really excited about the possibility of developing a resource for these folks...though I agree that we might need to use different tactics for people with different reasons (actually I think using a variety of tactics is probably good for any " conversion " attempt). If anyone is working on a flier or other resource, let me know how I can help! peace, abbi P.S. I'm still working on vegan croissants, if anyone is waiting with baited breath. If anyone else is interested in contributing to this effort, either with input or as a reviewer, do email me. I would be open to hosting a discussion on this over dinner at Golden Era or we can all get together over coffee or something. I just started reading (after glowing recommendations from a couple of folks who became vegan in the last few years) Living Among Meat Eaters. Although I've only gotten as far as the 2nd chapter, I'm thinking that might also be an interesting basis for this type of discussion. cheers, Tammy
