Guest guest
Hi all, This Saturday, 5/3, is the half-year birthday celebration for SFBAVeg. However, in looking at the weather forecast, there is a rain on Friday and Saturday. If it does rain on Friday or Saturday, that cancels the picnic. If it is overcast and cold on Saturday, that also cancels the picnic. Basically, for a picnic, we need dry ground and sunshine. If the weather doesn't cooperate for a picnic on Saturday, would anyone be interested in still getting together on Saturday? A restaurant perhaps? Please email me if you are. So, for the next Vegan Food Party, bring your cookbooks or other veg/AR related books that you're interested in swapping or sharing. Likewise, if you have magazines or audio books/CDs, videos, bring those, too. I would suggest that people put a small tag on each item with their name and we'll put them all in one spot for folks to browse. Details on Next VFP: when: Sat. 5/3 at 2 pm where: Golden Gate Park in Speedway Meadows map: http://www.generationv.org/images/ggmap.jpg If you need vegan food help or some suggestions, please ask the list, or browse recipes from other VFPs or contact us. Feel free to " experiment " and " test " your new vegan recipes on us :-) Previous VFP recipes: http://www.generationv.org/recipes.htm What to bring: x your appetite (smile), unused/unwanted veg cook/book to swap/share x blanket to sit on x vegan food dish to share. each person should bring a dish that provides 6 generous servings. if there are two of you, one dish providing 12 servings works great, too! please take some pride & care in your contribution! bringing a bag of chips OR single-serving of a prepared/prepackaged food item is not acceptable. there are a few folks who don't realize that there is a difference between six servings of food versus six bite-sized pieces of food... x autographed recipe of your food item (folks may have certain food preferences or food allergies to wheat, nuts, etc) x your own eating plate/utensils/napkins, beverage, and any serving ware needed games, music CDs, announcements, etc. -- optional x family/friends/companions who always ask " What do you eat?
