Guest guest
Dear Friends, I am interested in having a monthly (or every other month) letter writing party in the East Bay. I think that by coming together, we could get a lot more letters out on issues that we all care about so deeply. Eventually, I would like to have it at my home but for now I thought that the Berkeley library (at Russell and MLK) would be a good choice. It is centrally located (about 3 blocks from Ashby BART) , it is free of charge, and it has meeting rooms open to community use . Of course, if someone knows of somewhere better to meet, please let me know! I would supply paper and envelopes, though people could certainly use their own if they preferred. The drawback to meeting in the library is that we couldn't have beverages/veggie snacks. However, if people wanted to we could certainly go out afterward. The meeting room is available on weekdays and Saturdays. Please let me know if you have a preference for a particular time/day/place, etc, and I'll take this into account when I schedule the first meeting (I " m assuming Saturday will be the best day for the most people). Yours for the Animals, Stephanie
