In the dry summer heat, the brisk mountain water is refreshing and enlivening. The scenic, breath-filling canyon is rich in wildlife. On our journey, we become intimate with Nature and her elements. We raft and play in the Water; breathe the vibrant mountain Air; dance on the Earth; and fan our passions around Fire. RAFTING On the river, we enjoy rafting as a conscious part of our journey. The river offers the thrill and excitement of Class III white water, interspersed with stretches of peace and calm. We learn to cooperate and navigate through the challenge of the rapids. Learn what it means to be truly present and living in the moment. Breathing and paddling in unison, aligning our intentions, motions, and breaths, as eagles soar high above us. . . In navigating our way down the river, we learn new ways to navigate our lives. We learn to not push our own personal rivers while learning, literally, how it feels to go with the flow. DANCING Every night, after the Sun drops behind the mountain and darkness fills the canyon . . . we gather at the fire circle. . . burning, playing music, drumming and chanting . . . . . dancing with shadows casted against the canyon walls. . . creating magical ritual to support and empower us to dive deep and express our creative and passionate selves. COMMUNITY After the dancing at night, you can sleep either in the dome or on the beach under the stars. Waking up you can join in a group yoga on our own private beach at the river's edge. . . or just listen to the river make its own music while watching the red-tail hawks surf the breeze . . . This journey is an opportunity to explore and connect with our Passion. We raft, dance, breathe fully and deeply, relax, unwind, and enjoy. Our intention is to return from the river rejuvenated and uplifted, inspired to continue our ongoing life's journey, wherever it may lead us. REGISTRATION The cost is $240 ($210 if full payment is received by May 15). Participation is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't delay as the trip fills quickly. RIVER LESSONS 101 A river may be compared to life, always moving, ever changing. The rapids are like the obstacles we all encounter from time to time . . . the challenges to be faced squarely and taken with enthusiasm. The long, peaceful stretches are like those quiet, uneventful days we rarely see enough of. Sometimes, the river breaks into several channels and we must make a decision as to which one is best . . . In life, as on the river, we can't always know what lies ahead around the bend, But we can look forward to the unknown as a challenge and an opportunity . . . Rather than as a possible disaster. Watch and study the river . . . it has much to teach about life. ~J.M. Quinn ===== _________ All the best...
