radio column: Alistair Cooke's Letter from America

On the way to work this morning I heard Alistair Cooke read

his " Letter from America " . About half of his radio column was about

vegetarianism.

 

I think that he, as an omnivore, fairly acknowledges vegetarianism's

moral basis. He talks about fish feeling pain, slaughterhouses,

veal, and elegant vegan clothing.
