Rowell Ranch Rodeo this Weekend

Greetings!

 

The annual Rowell Ranch Rodeo event is this weekend—May 17 & 18—in Castro

Valley. The gates open at 10am and Grand Entry starts at 1:30pm. Patrons

usually arrive in large numbers between noon & 1:30pm. I cannot make it this

weekend. But, I have materials for a rodeo demo (leaflets, banner & posters)

if anyone would like to go there this weekend. I would be more than happy to

drop off the materials between now and then for anyone who would be able to

Directions to Rowell Ranch Rodeo Park (www.rowellranchrodeo.com)

 

The Rowell Ranch Rodeo Park is located on the top of the 580 Freeway, also

known as the Dublin Grade, between Castro Valley and the Dublin/Pleasanton

area.

 

Coming from the West on Eastbound I-580, take the Eden Canyon Road exit. At

the stop sign make a right onto Eden Canyon Road and then a left onto Dublin

Canyon Road. Proceed about 2 miles east toward Dublin/Pleasanton. The

Rodeo Park will be on the right-hand side of the road.

 

Coming from the North on Southbound I-680, take I-580 West toward Oakland.

Stay in the right lane and immediately exit off I-580 on the Foothill Road

exit to Pleasanton. This exit will take you over the I-580 freeway. Stay

in the farthest right lane and make the first right turn on Dublin Canyon

Road. You will see Crown Plaza Hotel located on the corner of Foothill Road

and Dublin Canyon Road. Proceed about 2 miles and the Rodeo Park will be on

the left side of the road.

 

Coming from the South on Northbound I-680, take the Stoneridge Road exit.

At the stop light, make a left turn on Stoneridge Drive and proceed West to

the very end of Stoneridge Road - about one mile. Stoneridge Road

T-intersects into Foothill Road. Make a right turn on Foothill Road. At

the third stoplight, make a left turn on Dublin Canyon Road. You will see

Crown Plaza Hotel located on the corner of Foothill Road and Dublin Canyon

Road. Proceed down Dublin Canyon Road about 2 miles and the Rodeo Park

will be on the left side of the road.

 

There are two parking lots. One is above the arena and the other is below

the arena. Parking in both lots is $5.00 per car, which includes a Rodeo

Program. Free parking is available along Dublin Canyon Road.
