Breakfast in Oakland - Vegan, Organic, Fresh, All-You-Can Eat!

The Oganic Cafe (aka The Macrobiotic Center) has just started serving

breakfast again Monday-Friday. My only connection to them is as a

satisfied customer who'd like to see them succeed and continue

serving! The menu changes every day to keep it interesting. Here's

what they served yesterday to give you a taste: Miso soup, tempeh-

potato hash, kale, tofu scramble, oatmeal, muffins, pear sauce,

roasted pumpkin seeds, carob chips. On other occassions they had warm

bisuits with onion gravy. All made fresh on the premises (well,

except the carob chips!) by a friendly cook. It's buffet-style self-

serve, all you can eat for only $7, and it's very quick since there's

no lines and no waiting for your order to be made. They're also open

for lunch and dinner, but please support their fledgling breakfast

operation!
