Guest guest
Cindy- granted this is not directly related, seeing as i know of no cruelty free pharmaceuticals for allergies but if you are not adverse to using honey (i know there are mixed opinions of it on this list), one of the best ways that i control my (terrible)seasonal allergies is by taking a teaspoon of LOCAL honey purchased at the farmer's market... it contains the local pollens and works as a innoculation of sorts, kind of like a vaccine. good luck! cheers melody Care2 make the world greener! Guest guest
Cindy, One option is to make sure you're optimizing your omega-3 fat situation. Here is a link to that info: http://www.veganoutreach.org/health/stayinghealthy.html#Fats And another thing some people use is MSM (methyl sulfonyl methane). It's supposed to help with allergies and seems to help me, but there is no real proof of it. I buy mine at Trader Joe's and take one 1,000 mg tablet each day. Some people take quite a bit more than that. Good luck, Jack > hi, can anyone out there recommend some cruelty-free and effective hay fever drugs: > nasal spray, pills, eye drops, lotions? > > thanks, > cindy. > > > > > The New Search - Faster. Guest guest
For a couple of years now, I use herbal remedy, which seems to work for me. At the chinese herbal shop, ask for " Pe Min Kan Wan " , it is a bottle of 50 tablets. tony On Thursday, May 22, 2003, at 12:25 PM, cindy liang wrote: > hi, can anyone out there recommend some cruelty-free and effective hay > fever drugs: > nasal spray, pills, eye drops, lotions? > > thanks, > cindy. > > > > > The New Search - Faster. Cindy and interested others, I've had some success with stinging nettle capsules. These have been recommended by Andrew Weil for temporary (approximately two hours per dose) relief of hay fever symptoms. Eclectic Institute makes vegetarian capsules containing freeze-dried nettle leaves. http://www.electicherb.com. Hope this helps, Tor Neilands The New Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo. http://search.
