Events for the animals this weekend!

Hello everyone!

 

I want to invite you all to take a stand for the animals this weekend -

there are four exciting events going on, and I truly hope that you can

make it to one or all of them! It would be especially wonderful to

meet some new people this weekend, so don't be shy!

TONIGHT. . .

 

Meet Your Meat is playing at the Metreon! In front of it, anyway. We

will be setting up a table with literature and a battery-powered TV/VCR

playing PETA's Meet Your Meat, a graphic video showing how animals are

raised, transported, then killed for food, in front of the Metreon on

the corner of Fourth St. & Mission in SF. We are playing a new,

narrated version of MYM that I think is even more compelling than any

of the previous versions. If you haven't seen it yet, this would be a

great opportunity!

 

We'll be there starting at 9pm 'till everyone is tired and wants to go

SATURDAY. . .

 

PETA has declared May the month of action against Kentucky Fried

" Cruelty " ! We will be gathering at KFC, 200 Duboce Ave. in SF, to hold

signs for the passing traffic to see & distribute literature to anyone

walking by. We'll be there from 12 noon - 2:00pm.

 

This Saturday is also GLOBAL DAY OF ACTION AGAINST PROCTER & GAMBLE!

Despite years of protest & boycotts, P & G still tests on animals and -

even worse - lies about it to their customers! We will be

demonstrating at P & G-owned Vidal Sassoon, 359 Sutter St. in SF, from

3:00 - 5:00pm to expose the truth about P & G's animal abuse.

 

SUNDAY. . .

 

Every single Sunday for over 3 years now, animal protection advocates

have gathered in front of Neiman Marcus from 2:00 - 4:00pm to educate

shoppers about the horrors of fur production. Neiman " Carcass "

continues to sell real fur products despite the availability of

alternatives, and even has an entire department dedicated to promoting

& selling fur right here in San Francisco! Please join us this Sunday

from 2-4pm at Neiman Carcass, 150 Stockton St. @ Geary in SF!
