Guest guest
Try your hand at some delicious new cooking styles! The first of three around-the-world cooking classes - taught by folks raised in those traditions - begins next Saturday, June 7 in San Francisco. The classes will be reasonably-priced and filled with stories, yummy food and music. From 10 a.m. to noon at the First UU Society of San Francisco, at Franklin and Geary, Hungary-born Maria Solis leads a classes on vegan Hungarian foods. The following week, June 14, West African-born Roxana Chowdhury teaches spicy specialties from her native Sierra Leone. And on the evening of Tuesday July 8, Joe Akzam, whose mother was born in Syria, teaches rich vegan Arabic specialties. Each class is $20 or sign up for all three for $50.
