Guest guest
Trader Joe's sells " Organic Trader Joe's Sugar--Evaporated Cane Juice. " I haven't talked to the company, but evaporated cane juice has become the vegan favorite over the past few years, so I figure there must be something about the process that eliminates the need for animal-based charcoal filtering that is used to produce commercial granulated cane sugar. Guest guest
stevia (the green kind, not the refined white stuff) and rapadura (like found in rapunzel chocolate) are the only 2 unrefined sugars i know of organic evaporated cane juice, unless it says " UNREFINED organic evaporated cane juice " , is basically a fancy way of saying organic white sugar. maybe not processed w/ animal, but not wholesome either. just came across this, thought i'd share, hope it helps sebastian ) sfBAVeg , Marcy Greenhut <imgreen03@c...> wrote: > Is there anything wrong w/ organic RAW sugar? > Marcy > > - > " Vegan Living " <veganliving> > " " > Wednesday, June 04, 2003 9:23 PM > [sfBAVeg] Re: any info which brand of sugar is " meat- free " ? > > > > Trader Joe's sells " Organic Trader Joe's Sugar--Evaporated Cane Juice.
