Guest guest
What a healthy bunch we are ... with camping trips and hiking adventures filling the summer months! Good for us. And here is another outdoorsy adventure to mark in your calendar: Your veg friends, Mary Margaret Earl and Warren Jones, are leading a lovely hike at Mount Tamalpais on Saturday July 14. We'll gather at 10:30 a.m. at Pan Toll station, and descend the Steep Ravine trail, which is a lush and lovely hike over bridges and beside running water. There is even a ladder to climb down. Our destination will be Stinson Beach, where we'll picnic together on the bag lunches we'll each bring. Then, the climbing-inclined will head back up the trail, for a good workout to burn off lunch. Those who would rather relax while their food digests, can poke around the beach and take a bus back up the mountain. Carpooling to this event is a very good idea, as it is $4 to park at Pan Toll, and $5 to cross back over the Golden Gate. Carpooling is just a good idea, anyhow. For those who want to take public transit, you can take the Golden Gate Transit bus, and get info by calling them at (415)923-2000. Warren and I will sent out another reminder when the time gets nearer. Let us know if you'd like to come, so we have an idea of who to round up that morning. See you then!
