Guest guest
Hi all, As many of you know, one of the original goals behind starting this mailing list and subsequent group was to connect & support the local veg & animal rights community. We had a contest last year based on folks doing " introductions " to the list. And we gave extra points to anyone who got a friend to join and introduce themself. It was a wonderful mechanism to meet folks and help us learn who a bit about each other. With our bulletin board/online forum, we have an " Introductions & Friendships " forum category. Advantages: they are all in one place, and many folks have attached pic to their userids so you can even see what they look like, and only folks who go there to read Intros will get them.... And, yes, you can edit your messages to reflect new stuff going on with ya! I just edited our intro :-) So, I hope many of you will take the opportunity to add your introduction and check out the bulletin board http://www.generationv.org/forum/ By the way, if you are single or just looking for new friends, feel free to mention that. While we haven't ever really had any events just for singles, we have lots of events allowing folks to meet & mingle -- I know we've met some really good friends. But has anyone " met " someone romantically through our events?? Now that would be something to put in your intro! Hope to " meet " ya real soon! Cheers, Tammy P.S: To see the past intros, go to the bulletin board and check out the Intro & Friendships forum -- I've put the archive link in my message there :-) http://www.generationv.org/forum/ Be-a-Veg with Bay Area Vegetarians! http://www.bayareaveg.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * FREE vegan info kit: http://www.veganoutreach.org/starterpack/free-vsp.html
