I had the opportunity this weekend to try the veggieburger at

McDonalds. Jay Leno was not far off when he joked it was the

'McTasteless'. The one at BurgerKing is better.

 

I wish someone would use veggie patties like the one's from DrPreager

(SP?) at Trader Joes.

For this reply, I have channeled the spirit of a

McDonald's executive. Please don't hold me liable for

what he has to say...

 

Of course it is tasteless. It isn't meat and it isn't

flavored with beef. Did you really think a veggie

burger could be a viable substitute for a real burger?

Boy, if that were true, well, it just may hurt our

core business. But hey, how long's it been since we

had you as a customer? We squeezed a little money out

of you, and we'll squeeze a little more money out of

other gullible vegetarians and would-be vegetarians.

And in the end, we can cancel this burger and say it

didn't sell well because people still prefer meat. We

can say we tried but be done with this unprofitable

distraction and get back to what we do best: murder,

environmental destruction, and lying to you that we

care about our customers.
