I was vegan for a year up until December of 2001...then fell off the wagon for a year or so and now I am back. I have a question. How do you other vegans make sure to get your daily protein requirement in? I know it is about 60-70 grams for the average adult. I exercise a lot and I am sickened by some of the health and exercise websites. They claim that a male exercising regularly should take in almost 200g of protein a day!!!! And these guys are not vegan...all those poor animals are being eaten just so they can become meatheads with no neck! How sad!
